Does HD Video recording have a life on the Canon 550d/Rebel T2i, just like the shutter?
-
Shutters last for up to 100,000 shots, Does the video have a time limit..?? Thanks, Adrian

Answer:
Canon doesn't rate the estimated usable life for video. I believe they publish the 100,000 shutter data, because the shutter is a "moving part" which is likely to wear out over time. With video, the shutter opens, and records video until you're done, and then the shutter closes. You could possibly record 30 minutes of video with only one shutter actuation. Since the CCD doesn't wear out, I don't think you'll have any problems (Unless you try recording while pointing at the sun or something dumb like that)
