RECOVER OLD VIDS FROM SD CARD?

  • I NEED TO RECOVER LIKE 20 OLD VIDS FROM MY SD CARD! READ ALL BEFORE ANSWERING: So my SD card became full and so I uploaded its files to my computer and then formatted the card. LITTLE DID I KNOW FOR SOME REASON ALL THAT GOT UPLOADED WERE PICTURES FROM THE SD CARD!!! NONE OF MY VIDEOS! JUST FINDING THIS OUT (uploaded yesterday, found out today) I already took a bunch of pics-vids with my camera using that SAME sd card!!! So now when I use recovery programs (I've already used DDR and Atroid - freeware programs) all that they recover are like 20 RECENT vids-pics I took!!! I NEED THOSE VIDEOS THAT I THOUGHT WERE UPLOADED TO THE COMPUTER!!! Do you think it's possible that they're in a different folder? I don't... I just don't know... maybe I was supposed to upload the pics and then the vids but i was in a rush or.. IS THERE ANY WAY TO GET THOSE OLD VIDS BACK?!?? HELPPP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU FOR ANSWERS!!!!!!! THANK YOU PLZ THERE HAS TO BE A WAY NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE!!!! RIGHT???/

  • Answer:

You can try a card reader, to see the SD card directly. Sometimes older files are in ohter folders. Videos can take a long time to transfer, so the camera power saver sometimes shuts off before longer videos are transferred. Some cameras keeps track of file names so that it does not copy over others. Formatting will definitely erase file names, but see if the recovery programs can see other folders.
