How do I upload a video to facebook?

How can I upload my video to Facebook (Canon PowerShot)?

I have a Canon Powershot camera, (this one: http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/contro%E2%80%A6 and yesterday I took a video with my friends. I was trying to upload it to Facebook but it isn't working. When I try to upload it, it says, "Sorry, that's not a video file that we support." Does this have to do with my camera or my computer and the way I uploaded it? Does anyone else have the same problem or know why it isn't working? Is there anything I can do to get it to upload? Thanks in advance.
Answer:

Look up the helpfiles on face book to figure out which file formats they DO support. Figure out which file format YOU have from your camera. Now download something like "handbrake" to convert the format, then upload.
