What's the best helmet camera?

Whats the best type of equipment to use if I'm looking to make a DIY camera stand or multiplane camera?

• I'm trying to make a camera stand at home, I've researched the subject but i wanted to know a little more about the best stuff to make it out of, from the camera itself to the lighting. I'm willing to spend a couple hundred dollars but cant do much more than that. I like the idea of a combination of the simple DIY camera stand and the complex multiplane camera. I was also wondering about the best way to view the pictures in motion weather i just get software on my computer and connect the camera to that or is there another way?

Again, with your budget, a cheap digital camera is only going to record and download. Live feed would be out of your budget, so connecting the camera to a TV is out of the question.
