Help with computer pictures?

Help! Got a new 2GB Sandisk card, now after formatting it my computer won't read the pictures on it!?

  • I had already taken pics on it when I put it in the computer and it said it had to be formatted. I took those off the camera and then tried formatting it in my computer but after I do that and take more pictures, those pictures won't show up on my computer! When I format it in the camera, the computer still says it needs to be formatted when I put it in! Thanks so much for your help!

Uggh, ya just gotta hate that! The problem is not with your camera or the memory card. I had the same problem with my old computer (PII win98). If I remember correctly the driver I had could not read a removable storage device that had that much memory. Why your computer is having problems reading the 2G chip may be a question better answered under the Computer section. Have you used other 2G sticks before? You may need to do a service pack update. Start>Help & Support>Windows Update. Memory sticks should always be formatted in the camera they are going to be used in. It is most important that it works right the first time while taking the picture. If it takes a couple of tries down loading it is merely annoying the memories are still preserved. Use you camera as the drive with a USB cable to download for the time being.
