Which point and shoot camera takes good indoor pictures?

What is the best point and shoot camera?

  • I am looking for a good point and shoot camera. I want to have it all, but since I know that's not possible, I'll take as close as I can get. I want good zoom, a sensor large enough to handle the amount of megapixles the camera has, something that takes good indoor pictues (no noise), and has lots of options for shoot modes. I'm not going to pretend I know a lot about cameras because I dont. But I do take a lot of pictures and need a good camera to do it. I'm not interested in a slr type camera, really want a point and shoot, but I'll take any suggestions!! Thanks in advance!

  • Answer:

The best point and shoot ever is the Canon SX40. You can pick these up locally for $380. This is a point and shoot that is struggling to be a dslr. It's performance is just short of the entry level DSLR. This is a lot of camera for less than I pay for a decent lens for my dslr. I recommend it. All of the canon G series point and shoots are great cameras as well.
