Canon 500D Video Recording Limit?

Canon Rebel t2i Recording Limit?

  • So, I recently purchased a Canon Rebel for videos and movie making. It came with a class 10, 8 GB SD card. The recording limit was kind of annoying at 30 minutes, but it didn't much matter. Recently, I put my clips on the computer and the SD card was left EMPTY. I put it back in my computer and now the recording limit is 7:23? and then I shot a little more, and emptied the SD card once again, now the recording limit is 2:14. What do I do? I've checked multiple times and it's completely empty.

  • Answer:

you need to format the card, not just delete or pull stuff off deleting doesn't actually delete and get rid of, it just marks files to be overwritten and can be confusing if you lose track format the card in the camera and the problem should go away
