Why won't my webcam work with certain people on MSN?

My webcam used on MSN?

• I've had my webcam for a while and it used to work okay. I stopped using it and recently re-installed it. On MSN when I try to webcam with someone else, I can see theirs, but no one can see mine, as it is just black. I've tried everything, re-installing a couple of times, but it still won't work. I've re-adjusted the setting and it isn't that. I'm getting pretty frustrated. I've tried using my mothers webcam also, but still it doesn't work. Although, it works on Image Studio. I've googled answers, and while other people have experienced the same problem, I've never got an answer concerning WHY this is happening. I've done everything that they've suggested and nothing works.

  try downloading yahoo messenger and see if this works,i had this problem using windows live messenger,i use logitech orbit mp,my daughter uses a different brand and we went back and forth trying many different settings,check for updates and patches for your brand webcam.
