Why can't i see my SD card pictures?

I can't see the pictures in the SD card on my digital camera, only when I put in the computer? Please help.

  • My camera is a samsung. It has always worked fine, but I accidently erased all my pictures. I used one of those recovery softwares, and in a way it did help. The problem is that they are in the SD card, but I can only see them in my computer. Is there a way to be able to see them again in my digital camera?

  • Answer:

No, there is no way around that. Your camera looks at the images based on a proprietary design by the camera company. Just be glad you were able to save your images and don't delete your images again. Instead, copy all of your images on the camera and then format the card using the cameras format feature. This will refresh your card and write a new image index file. It is the corruption of this file that leads to all kinds of grief and lost images.

probably not....if you've erased them. the camera is being told by software that the space is available....and the software is intended not to wipe the card, so the frame counter continues to sequence, so you know how many shots you have taken.... The computer 'sees' them because it is looking for a file extension and not set by a filter in software like your camera.... I recommend you just store them on your computer and not worry about finding them from the camera...
