Upgrade Camera or new Television?

I have a best buy gift card and I couldn't decide whether I should get a television or a camera. I have a Digital Rebel XT now, and I'd like to do some professional photography work, so I figure if I did, I'd have to get a newer, higher resolution camera. Any thoughts? If I can still work on the side as a photographer with the camera I have, then I'd go for the television.

Your XT can shoot professional images. Whether they are of professional quality is based upon your skills as a photographer. Buy the TV and keep honing your skills using your fine Canon. I must say that what I would have asked is what lens should I buy next and forget the TV or newer camera.

I have found a source for cheap SLR bodies but that will not help you spend your Best Buy Bucks. Perhaps it would help you decide to go with a TV and buy a canon 40D and upgrade to 10M resolution shooting in RAW and JPG format as well as being able to do 6.5 frames/second as well.
