New video Camera editing help?

Editing a video that came off a kodak easy share camera help!!?

• im trying to edit a video that i made (a drum cover for youtube) and im trying to add music to it.i put it on to my computer off of my kodak easy share camera,and i wnat to edit it in windows movie maker but i cant pull it up, the only way i can even watch it is when i right click it and click open it goes to quick time player,but yet i can put photots into the windows movie maker and make like a slide show. BOTTOM LINE 1.I need to put music to and edit the video (on windows movie maked if at all possible) 2.how do i get the video into windows movie maker to add music 3.any other editing software that i could download for free to edit my videos ANY DECENT ANSWER WILL GET 5 STARS
