Which one to buy nikon D7000 or D90 for shooting music videos ?(10 for the best answer)?

    If it must be a Nikon, then the D7000 will shoot 20 minute video as at full resolution, while the D90 The Nikon D90 only manages 720p videos and I think, 4 minutes of continuous footage. The D7000 can shoot both 720p and 1080p of course, but if your serious, then the superseded D90 doesn't need to be on your short list. I'm afraid no one lens will cover all your needs - fast zooms (f2.8 and better) are very expensive - more than the cost of the camera - and also heavy. Prime (non-zoom_ lenses might be a better option but it depends on lighting conditions: are you going to be controlling the lights? Shhoting at concerts and gigs? On location? You need to cover the wide shot, the medium and the close-up range. a 17mm, 35,50mm and 80mm would probably be enough, although very wide angle could be useful, too. Any zoom lens to cover this range with sufficient quality is going to be either slow, or expensive and heavy.

If you're planning to shoot videos on DSLR then I'd recommend you to get a Canon instead of Nikon. I'm a Nikon D90 user myself & I absolutely love that beast.

Don't buy a still camera if your intent is to shoot video. Go take a photography course, learn some basic photography skills & come back when you can ask coherent questions.

Since you'll mainly be recording video, you should buy a good-quality HD camcorder, such as a Canon Vixa HF G10 or HF S30.

If you really want between the two you've mentioned, I recommend get the Nikon D90 because that will suits your purpose but there are other options like Canon EOS Rebel T3 or T3i. These cameras are also has the features you want at a lower price than D90. By the way, I own D90 and it is really the best but the price is a little bit higher but I think it's worth it based on my experienced.

If you use a dslr, don't bother with autofocus. Get a wide lens and stick it on infinity or somewhere between. No focus hunting that way.
