Why my Fujifilm Finepix Z70 Series Camera won't turn on?

I have just bought a new camera, (the Fujifilm Finepix Z70 Series), I have charged the battery for it, but it won't turn on, it looks as though it's dead. Any ideas on what to do to get it working? Thanks! =]
