What is a good camera for action shots?

ANY dSLR can shoot action shots. The lens you use is most important. It has to be able to frame the action while you are at a safe distance from the action. In the film world, you are looking for a camera with at least a 1/1000 shutter speed and 1/2000 or even 1/3000 would be even better. In the digital world, you need to be able to shoot at least 24 fps (frames per second) and being able to go all the way to 100 fps would be excellent. You are probably looking at a minimum of 4 digits in the price with the first being higher than 3.
