How can I get more power on my soccer shot?

I can not get my Cyber-shot DSC-S650 to power up for photo shooting. Have access to menu in view mode. Help?

• Press the power button to shoot pictures camera turns off. Push review button and it allows you to view photos and access the menu. Have reset camera to factory settings, formatted the memory stick, rest the camera, and tried every menu option. Nothing has changed. Any suggestions?

  Have experienced this same problem and found the solution which is detailed below. Hope it helps you also. Your camera requires more power to take pictures than in the view mode. Camera reports batteries low, but is it low charge or bad electrical contacts? Overcharging can ruin good batteries!
