How many pictures can you take on a digital camera with 8.2 MP but with a 4 GB memory card?
-

Answer:
About 1,894 pictures.. It depends on the format the camera saves the picture in, but since most use JPG100 (JPG at 100% quality), I'll go with that. Due to the marketing schemes used when selling storage space, the 4GB card is actually only 3.7GB (binary bytes vs decimal bytes), which comes to 3,788.8 MB. An 8.2 MP JPG100 picture is around 2 MB, and 3,788.8 divided by 2 is 1894.4.

It all depends on what picture quality you have your camera set at, because even though its an 8.2mp, you can still take pictures at a lower resolution to fit more on your memory card. On a 3.1mp you can get about 61 pics on a 256MB memeory card so I can only suggest that for a comparison. Oh, the camera I'm on about is 3 year old though. Hope that's helped

Depends on the quality and size of picture you select on the camera. If you're taking smaller sized pictures with just a normal quality shot, you will get many more pictures than if you put the quality setting to best and take larger shots. I would consider getting an 8 GB card. That's what I use and it holds quite a lot of pics.

If you add both together thats how many. But if you take the memory card out the first pictures that filled up the memory card will be on it. All the others will be saved in the camera.

8.2MP is just the mega pixels, which just tells you how good the quality of the picture will be. And 4 gigs is a lot for a camera, you'll get tired of taking pictures before you run out of space.

well my camera is 7.2mp..and i have a 1gb memory card...that holds up to 600 pics at once. So i would say that yours will hold about 1000...just an estimate..

It will vary according the the specifications that you set for the picture...quality & size. So it will really depend.

Around 4,000. A picture on a digital camera is about 1mb of memory. I don't know the exact specs but it's around 4,000.
