How can I use my old memory card on my new camera?

Do I have to use a kodak SD memory card with my new kodak digital camera or can I use any card?

  • I have a Z650. Is there any danger in using a non Kodak memory card? Thanks in advance.

  • Answer:

I sell cameras and I didn't even know that Kodak made SD cards LOL! Stick with SanDisk, Lexar, or Kingston.

You can use any SD card. (as long as it's the same type)

Kodak re commands Kodak SD card just to sell it. You can use any brand. Just be aware some high speed SD cards are not compatible with some point and shoot cameras. but you can use any regular SD card.

You may use any brand you see fit as long as it is the right type. Kodak uses SD cards (and maybe CF for some older models). I believe Kodak also has internal memory (although it isn't much). SanDisk and Memorex are the most common brands that come to my mind right now. Also you might want to make sure your Kodak can accept whatever size card you may think you want. I don't think there have been any recent problems with the most recent technology, but in the past there were problems with the older cameras accepting newer, much larger memory cards.
