Why won't my camera import the pictures to my computer?

My computer wont let me import pictures from my digital camera! Please HELP ME?

• I am at my wits end with this. I have been trying for dayyyyys to get my computer to import my pictures. I have a Sanyo-VPC-603 digital camera and im running windows vista operating system. I have never had any problems importing before and now all of a sudden it wont let me. I havent used the camera in about 3 months and the other day i plugged it into the computer with the usb and it made the "bee boop" sound but the Autoplay never came up asking me if i wanted to import or not!!!! The only thing that came up was a little box saying "USB can run faster if you switch it to a faster usb port. Click here for a list of avalable ports" I tried moving it to different ports and nothing. A month or two ago i wanted to free up some space on my computer so i deleted some picture stuff that i didnt know what it was....never used the camera after that. And now i try and its not working. I tried uninstalling and re installing and same thing. It never comes up asking me if i wanna import. I cant find the camera on the computer anywhere to try and do it manually. If someone could please help me it would be greatly apprecitated!!!! Im so frustrated as i need to import these pictures.

  Check to see if your driver is working properly. also when I had this problem before I had to download a free photo software .. that lets you adjust pics etc ... i found the option to import in that software. Check for updates because your camera may not be compatible for Vista. Is it possible that your ports are not working? Make sure your camera is also turned on. If none of that works you have the option to take the memory card out and take down to a store to get them put onto a CD. That is all I can really think of. Good luck
