Creative live! cam voice windows live messenger problems?

• ok so i i installed this and got the vista update and on the studio thing i can see myself but when i go on windows live messenger i try to do a video call and it doesn't show me i looked at a list of devices that are compatible with windows live messenger and this particular model wasn't on it please help me my mom got it for me and i don't want to make her sad so if somebody could help me make it work that would be awesome please help me i really want this to work

  It would have been useful to tell us which model webcam you have, not just the range. Anyway, this should work: Uninstall your current drivers and software. Reboot your computer. Download the latest driver from the manufacturer of your webcam and install it. Reboot your computer. Plug in the webcam. Reboot the computer if necessary. Now go to the chat program you're trying to use (in your case MSN, i.e. Windows Live) and use their audio/video wizard to make it sure it will "play" properly with your cam. P.S. I know that all the rebooting can be a pain in the neck, but I have found webcams to be "touchy" at times, and the rebooting makes sure it all happens properly. It is also important to do all the installations in the exact right order.
