Digital Camera Canon EOS 400 D is worth it to buy?

• hi guys, im a BEGINNER for this hobby... i would like to know if is it worth it to buy this digital camera Canon EOS 400 D for someone like me... i would like to focus more on landscape photography, flower portrait, children and family portrait... some nude but artistic type of portrait...lol and do i need to buy more lenses on this type Digi cam? is it necessary? is it Canon EOS 400 D is hard to maintain? or is it user friendly? what do i expect in this type of digital cam? do you have any suggestion in buying digi cam more applicable for me? or brand? what do i need to focus on buying digi cam for beginner?

  It is a great camera perfectly capable of doing everything you mentioned. You do need to learn how to use it though to get the best results. SLR cameras offer you the ability to adjust all the settings manually and to use the type of lens you want. For the subjects you decribed the following lenses would be best. Landscapes: Wide angle like the Canon 10-22mm. You can start out with the kit lens for this too. Flowers: Macro like the 100mm F2.8 macro Portraits: 50mm F1.8 or F1.4. You can also use the 18-55mm kit lens for this. To get the best results I highly recommend that you take a class. While this camera does have fully automatic settings you will get much more out of it if you know how to use it manually.
