Do I need a Kodak memory card for a Kodak camera?

I'm getting my friend her birthday present, and she needs a new memory card. She has a Kodak camera, so do I need a memory card that's Kodak brand? Or can I just get a memory card that will fit in her slot? :) That sounds weird.

I would recommend getting a Kodak memory card for a Kodak camera, but you don't need to. If the memory card fits and can be used for a camera, I think it should do fine.

Most memory cards are universal for all digitals...or at least most. Any card that's compatible with the camera she has will do. Just find the camera in the store that she has and it willt elll you on the back of the box what size memory cards are compatible

Kodak cameras all use standard SD memory. You can use any standard SD chip from any manufacturer. I recommend SanDisk as they are incredibly reliable and cost effective (cheap).
