Where can I find what year my outboard motor was made?

I have a gm motor block code3970010 Im tring to find out the year and size of this motor?

  • I have numbers from the front passenger side of the motor just above the water pump they are V0930CHT, and 01 L525011 could any one tell me what year, size and horse power this is. Thank you

    Its either the block form a 1968 327, or 1969-1979 350. The block code you provided match those models.
