What is the best AWD car for her?

What is a RWD or AWD, 4 or 6 cyl. tuner car, that would be good for building for performance?

  • I would prefer a v6 or v8, because of the sheer raw power. But I plan to rebuild the engine now matter what it is, and turbo it. I just need to know what car to look at. I was looking at the eclipse GSX but its only a 4cyl. I wish Jettas came in AWD :-/

There are 4 cylinder engines that have more power than V6 and V8 engines. The 4 cylinder non turbo Honda S2000 has much more power than a V6 Mustang or V6 Tiburon GT. For performance AWD is best. The VW Golf R32 comes with a 3.2L V6 with 250HP and AWD. The R32 is the hatchback version of the Jetta. But the cheapest R32 are 2004's at $20,000. If you add a turbo to any 4 cylinder car, it can easily outrun a V8 or V6, especially since 4 cylinder cars are usually smaller, lighter, more aerodynamic, and handle much better.

Yeah, I like the eclipse gsx or talon tsi AWD if budget is a problem. It is also very difficult to upgrade a turbo because you often have to change the whole fuel system and exhaust from turbo back, and it can get very costly. I would maybe suggest a nissan 240sx and do an sr20det (silvia) engine swap. They are turbos and have lots of horsepower and should not cost more than a total of $6000. The STi would probably be the way to go if money is no object.

I would recommend a '68 Camaro. Its a V8 that reaches 300 Horsepower. Also, its looks are gonna catch an eye. You could also try a Dodge Charger from 1965-1970. Theyre all around 330 HP. Yet another eyecatcher. I hope this helped!
