Why is the Ferrari FXX not street legal?

Ferrari FXX Street Legal Question?

  • Why is the ferrari fxx not street legal? -runs on e85 so emittion legal -proper saftey why is it not road legal

  • Answer:

Just because it is considered safe for a track, does not mean it is street legal. the FXX would not have air bags, nor would it be built to withstand a collison from another vehicle, such as a truck or other large vehicle. Also, just because it runs on E85 doesn't mean it will meet emissions. because it's a track car, it probably doesn't have any catalytic converters, or mufflers for that matter. the gasoline doesn't affect the emmisions so much as the exhuast sytem in charge of cleaning the fumes.

E85 is polutes more than regular gas. E85 just helps with gas mileage, but it is dirtier and throws more toxic fumes into the air.
