I heard about this whole recall and this type of vehicle getting on fire but all stories a read about is more likely a 97-03 pontiac grand prix gtp supercharge v6 3.8L. Now my question is, is my vehicle at risk too? I just bought it and did not know anything about it until now. Mine is a 2000 pontiac grand prix gt series II v6 3800 is this also on recall and could get on fire? If yes what are the reason would really appreaciate.

Answer:
Yes ur car can catch on fire too. I have a 2002 Grand Prix GT and I had got a notice in the mail saying "There was a recall on my car and If I dont take care of it, it can catch on fire." So I took it to the nearest Pontiac dealership and they took care of the problem for free.

Go to Pontiac web site and check the recall list. Or get a carfax on your car, it will tell you if it is on the list.
