Question about the Ford Ka?

R reg Ka or Corsa B? Which one? Help please.?

  • Hi all, odd question but I currently own a Nissan Micra 1.3GX costing 3.6k a year to insure, found two cars with insurance 1k less than that, the choices are either an R reg 1.3 blue Ford Ka with power streering or an R reg 1.2 dark red Vauxhall Corsa without power streering (unless if they do come with power steering please do say!!!). Both cars are near as dam it similar in price, but I want the Ka due to power streering a more power, but I don't because it's a girly car. So, which you would you get? The power streering more powerful ish girly Ka, or the more heavier cluth, steering, less powerfull boyer Corsa B? Thanks. PS - Yes I am a 17 year old lad, not a girl.

  • Answer:

Honestly for the budget you are on stick with the Japanese car,why i have owned and seen friends own cars from the makers you have mentioned and age and mileage wise the Nissan will out do both of them,so i will say balance wise what you save on insurance you would pay out on repairs etc. Def shop around for insuarnce tho maybe that is what you need to do,my friend came round the other day and he is 21 and just shopping around i got his £1000 cheaper.Myself i reduced my insurance by £300 this year again shopping around. Also look at older cars but Classic type,my nephew is almost 17 and quoting for an older 1.6l Japanese classic car was cheaper than a 1.0l modern car.And the Japanese car to buy was only £600.
