Is it possible to fit a laptop in a car?

Is it possible to fit 3 children's car seats in the back of a Land Rover Freelander? Third kid on the way!....?

  • We have a 3rd kid on the way. Already have a 3 yr old and another will be 1 when the 3rd arrives. So, will need 3 child car seats to fit in whatever car we have then. Thinking of getting a Freelander but not sure if it would be big enough. Critically I've heard a load of cars don't fit 3 seats across the back. If not a Freelander - what cars would you recommend to carry the 3 kids plus our stuff when we go on holiday..... All advice welcomed!

    my sister had a hundai elantra and fit 3 car seats in, you just have to measure the seats and the area you have, every seat is different!

Now, I love Land Rovers, but you have to realize where your limits are. Have people simply forgotten about minivans? You can haul all your gear, an entire litter of kids, pets, and the kitchen sink, and still have plenty of space left to move around in. Go buy a minivan, and enjoy your trips. Pick the one you like, all of them are great nowadays. Personally, I've got a Rover, but then, I don't have kids to fit in the back. As a matter of fact, my Discovery has no back seats at all... Get a minivan and be happy. Land Rovers just aren't designed for that sort of thing, and other SUVs are poor choices when compared with a proper minivan. If you have three kids, a minivan is simply the way to go.

The best car you can get would be a Mazda CX-9. I personally own one and it is BY FAR the best with a 3rd row seat as far as space, fuel economy, and price. We go to Disney 1-2 times a year from Ky, and we take me, my wife, a 10 yr old, 12 yr old, 5-6 bags of clothes, 1-2 bags of toiletries and still have room to space out without getting cramped. But by law you CANNOT have 3 carseats in the same row in ANY vehicle.

As with other answers, if you need three car seats across the car, then it depends on the available width of seat or the combined width of your three car seats - If you need a good 4x4 with a third row of seats, try a Nissan Terrano
