A camaro VS. a Mustang? who wins?

Mustang vs. Camaro? (gas mileage/safety/reliability)?

  • I'm about to purchase a new car but I can't decide between the Ford Mustang or Chevy Camaro. I am leaning towards the Camaro, but I also hear that the Mustang is better. GM just went through that bailout and the Camaro was taken off the market for a while. Ford stayed strong and the Mustang remained all these years. Could you please give me some reviews on both cars concerning their gas mileage, safety, and reliability?

  • Answer:

i used to drive my friends camaro all the time and it ran well then i bought a mustang and liked it better but these were 90s model cars so if your talking about the new ones then i dont know

to be honest its all about preference ive owned two mustangs. a 89 and a 97 both were nice and ive also owned two camaros a 1990 rs and am currently driving a 1998 camaro. in my opinion there both very close in comparison both if well taken care of will last 200000-250000 miles if not more. ive only had v6 for all the cars except the 89 mustang 4 banger. and the gas was about 17 city 21 highway for the 90 camaro and 89 mustang and about 18 city and 27 highway for both the 97 mustang and 98 camaro. if your looking at brand new ones then ide say so with your gutt. there is only a 1 or 2 hp difference between both v6 cars and are pretty much the same on gas. if its the v8 however ide go with the camaro with the 400hp auto or 425hp manual and i belive still getting like 25 highway and when road and track magazine compared the 2010 camaro ss2, challenger r/t, and the mustang gt the camaro (preformance and mechanical wise) dominated the other two. so all in all if your looking at used models its up to witch looks better pretty much but if your doing new then ide say camaro hands down

The obvious choice is the 2011 Mustang GT 5.0 It blows the camaro ss out of the water even though it has less horsepower and torque. People have hit 10s at the strip with just slicks and bolt ons (exhaust, gears, intake, tune) The 1986-92 5.0 mustang are the easily the cheapest cars to make fast and be reliable. The 2011 Mustang GT 5.0 combines that with technology and comfortablility of today.

Camaro. Hands down. Why does gas mileage or reliability matter? Camaros are so much hotter. Whenever I see a camaro pass me, I always say "dude, hott car, wanna ****" of course I'm kidding. But camaros are beautiful.
