What kind of cd player should i get for my car?

What kind of car should I be looking to buy?

  • I work about 14 miles from where i live so i will be driving 28 miles to and from work everyday 5 days a wk. I dont have that big of a budget so I am trying to find the best possible deal I can while trying to stay in such a low budget I am looking to spend around $2000 for a car right now( I hear Honda an Toyotas are the BEST so Im leaning more towards either of those). Ive been looking on craigslist, cars.com, autoshopper.com. However lately I have been trying to decide if i should be looking to buy a SUV because when the weather gets bad in the winter I dont wana have to worry about not being able to get back n forth to work because of my car in the snow. Or will i be just as fine buying a regular FWD vehicle that come to think of it will save me more on gas driving back n forth to work. So far I have seen 3 cars that caught my attention. One is a 1990 Honda Accord EX with about 149k for $2000 it has power everything, new CD player put it freshly painted, sun roof, alloy wheels the interior looks like it was well-kept and its in good condition it drives great( keep in mind i havent went to see it yet for myself so im just going by the pics i seen an the ad) The 2nd car is a 95 Honda Accord Coupe, the owner says it drives great but apparently the sppedometer doesnt work, it needs an A/C compressor, and something about a motor mount or some kind of noise the motor makes i think idk im not too good with cars. And the 3rd car is 94 toyota 4runner with 154k. What should I do?? PLZ HELP!!! Thanx in Advance for all advice an opinions..........

  • Answer:

If you are looking to find something while on a budget, I suggest a Civic or Corolla. At that price range, you will need to be prepared for the inevitable breakdown. The Civic and Corolla and even the Accord or Camry should be less expensive to repair when the time comes. SUV's will cost more in maintenance, the tires cost more, oil changes can sometimes cost more, and 4WD systems are an extra maintenance cost that can be costly to repair. I've driven in snow in a 1990 Civic and never had any problems.
