Does anyone know how to take off the foot of an outboard motor?

Anyone know what it would take to put in a chevy motor in a oldsmobile car. 1968 cutlass?

I own a shop, and have done this swap many times over the years. It really doesn't take much at all to do this. This is of course assuming you are talking about a small, or big block Chevy V-8. Also; if you had a V-8 in the Cutlass to begin with. The only problems you will have is this; The brackets that bolt to the frame for the engine mounts may have to be changed, or moved to one of the many different hole configurations already there. One must pay attention to the brackets, and that you can get the mounts to make it work right. Most people use the clam shell type mounts like are found on most GM type vehicles with a V-8 in them. These are very popular mounts, and most all parts stores carry them. Two things to watch for is; The engine sits low enough in the bay, and the distributor clears the firewall. If it doesn't, then one must move the brackets forward to make it work out. An example would be; Some 6 cylinder brackets will work, but the engine will sit too high for any/enough hood clearance. Outside of this, everything should work without any problems, but also make sure the bell-housing is the same from center to center on the top bolt holes, and the dowel pins. Also; pay attention to the crankshaft if you are going to use a standard shift transmission, and that the front shaft of the transmission aligns properly with the pilot bearing/bushing. Glad to help out, Good Luck!!!

Get a chevy transmission, chevelle or malibu eng mount brackets and the rest of nec. hardware. You can use those chevelle-malibu parts.

Chevy and Olds and Pontiac are all GM cars--an even swap is easy. The car will accept an engine if it is the same.... if it is different, the motor will have to dictate any extras--like a suspension change--trans change---electrical changes---radiator change--exhaust change. Keep it simple and keep it doable. A 68 will take any 305 and 350 cu.in engine. This is not a driveway job--let a shop do it--you never know what will happen
