How to insert songs in the iPod classic?

Using my ipod in my 2010 Kia Forte?

  • i can use my ipod with the aux connection but my car also has a usb insert where i can also use my ipod. but when i plug my ipod into the usb i have less control, what i want to know is if theres a way to view ipod playlists instead of having to go through the folders where all the songs are mixed up and also i have to push info to see what song it is, is there a way i can change that setting to where it just shows up on the screen on its own?

  • Answer:

In order for an iPod to work correctly you need the iPod cable from Kia. Usually dealers love to tack this on as an extra $29.95 and throw one in the glove box at sale. With the adaptor cable, which has both USB and Stereo on one end and the iPod blade on the other you can charge the iPod from the car and command the iPod from the car's controls. The cable has a chip in it to handle some of the handshaking so it isn't just a dumb set of wires.
