Going to buy a new car its down to: Ford Focus, Nissan Versa, Kia Rio / Hyundai Accent, Chevy Aveo (sedan)...?

I would take a look at market share right now. Ford is just behind Honda (the number one selling car in America). They just surpassed Toyota in engine reliability and customer satisfaction. The old adage that American cars suck doesn't really play any more as care companies are struggling to make revenue and driving up the quality of the product. Reliability and fuel economy should be your 2 major deciding factors. Other than that, go with what you like.

if i where you i would by the hyundai 10/100 warranty for a car that cost 14000 new!I work for hyundai and they cover almost everything except normal wear items brake pads,belts,some bulbs,timing belt to 60 k miles. I woul by the elantra though.more car the same money and about the same fuel mileage

We just bought two 2008 Kia Spectra5 cars. We love them greatly. This was after two months of shopping around, test driving, and comparing. They have the best warrenty, that extends to 10 years. The price is right, hence purchasing two. Gas miles range from 35-38mph, which adds up when you look at the gas prices. You're saving overall. Our insurance didn't raise because we opted for the GAP insurance with the warrenty.

i would go with the nissan, the japs have better quality overall. the focus is a p.o.s.(have 3 at work)kia ,daewoo are ok and vary in quality. the aveo is a daewoo in disguise

I would get the Kia Rio. But the Nissan Versa is the best deal.

The accent has a better standing right now. AND looks better.

I hear the Nissans are pretty hip. They make the Impalas suck!

Insurance is higher on a Rio...that's what kept me from buying one.
