Can I still use electronic fuel injection if I get a supercharger?

What type of fuel system does a Vovlo 740 Run on?

• I have an old BMW that's in the process of getting a turbo system. My car runs on a Bosch K-Jetronic fuel system, which is CIS. I know that the volvo turbo parts are easy to get a hold of, and (this is the key) they are better at controling timing under boost. So here's my dilema. I know that the old 240 turbo's had a CIS system, so i can use their parts. but they're hard as hell to find. I need an ignition canister and a warm up regulator from some volvo with CIS injection. The 740 turbo's are much easier to find - did they ever run on CIS injection? If so, what years? Thanks a ton!

  740's never used a CIS system. Only 240's did. The 740 came around 1985 and used a LH bosch system. I agree any CIS systems are very hard to find parts for.
