What amp can I get for my Jetta?

Jetta 1.8t power problems?

  • I have a 2001 jetta 1.8t. Last night it was fine, but this morning when I tried to unlock it, the keyless entry did not work. Later in the day I realized the power windows, sunroof, interior lights, and power mirrors are not working either. The trunk won't open either. I thought that I had a blown fuse. I replaced a 15 Amp fuse that was supposed to handle all of the above but that did not fix the problem either. Also, the 15 Amp fuse that was in the car did not look bad, so I don't think it is a blown fuse. Does anyone have any ideas about what is wrong with the car? I am trying to avoid taking it to the dealer to get it looked at. I will choose best answer. Thank you.

How old is the battery? That would be the first place I would look.

cimra

very easy to fix. go out and buy an optima yellow or red top battery. about 200ish bucks. this should fix everything. vw r known for their electrical issues, when low voltage is run through the cars system it messes everything up. i had the passenger window in my car roll down as i started the car for example.

vr5 power!
