How to move trackbar automatically?

How do I get the mirrors in my VW Golf 6 to automatically move downwards when I put the car in reverse?

  • I know my car has the option. I can also select it from the on-board computer. But no matter how I set the mirror button (to 0, L, R, or the top icons) The mirrors still don't move. :S

    rotate your tires every 10,000 miles and make sure you have enough windshield wiper fluid

as far as i know if you leave it in the R(right) position the mirror will twink in reverse.. since you know you have the option, i'd consider dropping by the dealer, they may need to hook it up to the computer and just change a setting, the ability may be there but the computer might not know to do it.
