Which GPS will work in a Volkswagen?
-
I have a 1999 Volkswagen Jetta, and I purchased a Tomtom GPS system, but when I plug the GPS to charge in the Jetta, it won't charge, but it will charge in every other car. So, which GPS will charge in a Volkswagen?

Answer:
check your fuse. i had a chevy that the fuse for the a/c outlet would blow pretty often. like the other guy said its the not that it wont charge a gps its because there is no power at the socket.

it has nothing to do with the gps. its the power port that you are plugging it in to. on a lot of new cars the power port is always live on other cars the power port is only live when the ignition key is in the accessory position. if there is no power going to the power port the gps will not charge.
