Whats the difference between the jetta?

  • I was wondering whats the difference between some volkswagen jettas. I was wondering the difference between the TDI, GTI, Wolfsburg Edition, California Edition, i feel like im missing one more. Whats faster? whats the difference inside? which one cost more? stuff like that! Thanks guys!

    Volkswagen has many different options and packages available under each catagory of Jetta. However, the basic breakdown is as such; TDI: Turbo Diesel. Wolfsburg Edition: Built in Wolfsburg, Germany GLI: 2.0L Turbocharged engine (200 horsepower) base models: 2.5L 5 cylinder engine (170 horsepower) GTI: 2.0L Turbocharged on the Golf chasis and body (200 horsepower) R32: 6 cylinder all wheel drive on a Golf chasis and body (250 horsepower)

TDI: Diesel engine, 50mpg, racing series run with these cars as spec, lots of torque but maybe not as much hp. Wolfs: Means that it was built in Germany. Cali: I think its just sunroof and rims option? GTI: Not a Jetta, a whole nother VW. All except the TDI come with a very stout 2.0liter turbocharged 4banger

The GTI is a hopped-up Rabbit. The GLI is the hopped-up Jetta.

They are all pretty much the same on the inside. I was wanted a Jetta but did not know which one to buy. I have never heard of the California edition (I live in AZ). I went for the GLI (both times). It is the fastest out of all the Jetta's. The TDI is the deisel. The GTI is not a Jetta. The Fahrenhiet edition is just a yellow Jetta (ugly).
