Are Saab's Reliable Enough For A First Car?

Is the new punch buggy reliable and safe for a first time car...!?

  • I'm 19 years old and i will be buying my first new car but around the month of November so around winter time basically and would the new punch buggy i believe its the convertable..? be a good car for a first time driver and is it safe in accidents and stuff and is it reliable could i drive it for yearss and it will not brake down on me ?!?! and also i am black/mixed so i guess i will be the first black/mixed person to ever drive one because i have Never Ever seen a black/mixed person with that car and is there a way i can get it in a cute colour like a blue or fruit punch or a nice black colour and where can i buy a nice new one for cheap im looking to pay around 8-12 thousand range... thanks in advance

    As far as safety, yes the new beatles are very safe cars. As for the reliability, unfortunately VWs have reliability problems, mainly due to their overly complex electrical systems. Your best bet would be to get the lowest mileage bug you could find. Also, the 2.0 liter engine, although slower and not as fun to drive as the 1.8 liter turbo engine has far less problems and will easily last 200k if it's well maintained. You should be able to find a pretty decent bug for 8K. Good luck!
