Where's the best place to find a 1600cc turnkey engine?

I'm looking to find a 1600cc engine, my 1500cc blew out on the 101 freeway in my 1968 VW. Not sure how well the older owner took care of it, but I can't change what happened. So I'm looking for a Turnkey engine, and a little more power than the 1500, but I'm not looking to really improve it too much. I'm hoping to find a 1600 or 1641cc turnkey engine, preferably one I can go pick up in California, and not have to have it shipped. I've checked TheSamba.com, great website, but I really couldn't find anything I wanted, and the ones I did find were from websites where I couldn't even call them, and they didn't reply to my emails.
