Whats wrong with my Jetta 1.8 Turbo?
-
I just got the fuel regulator changed on it. It wasn't working but now it is. Now the only problem is that I feel the motor being forced. I can no longer hear the turbo that well and when I step on the gas the car no longer takes off fast. Before I use to step on the gas and the car would take off fast and switch gears real smoothly. Now it takes a while. Help please!

Answer:
If you had a new fuel pressure regulator put on for you by a shop, you should be going back to them with your problem. Ask them to make sure that they replaced the FPR with one matching the stock pressure of 3.0 bar. Make sure that the vacuum hose going to the FPR is on nice and tight, you're problems could definitely be caused by a vacuum/boost leak as well.

It's a VW. That's what's wrong with it.
