How do I change the front speakers in my car?

Help with changing and buying new 2003 VW Polo Car Speakers?

• I've got a 2003 VW polo and i'm keen to change the speakers. The front right one is starting to stop working and is sometimes crackly, which i imagine is something to do with the wiring, but I've always quite wanted to improve my car audio. The size of the rectangle grid covering the speakers is 5" x 6". If anyone could let me know of some good speakers that'll fit my car that'd be wicked, preferably not above £40 - £50 Cheers guys

  If your in UK you can go to Halfords and they will help you with some suggestions. Once you remove the door panel you can do a straight swap for a speaker upgrade. The only slight problem you have is that you have to cut off the "factory speaker plug" and fit your own female spades connectors. You may even find that the staff will do it for a small price. I have updated mine on the Golf and the result is a much better richer sound.
