What kind of coolant do you put in a 1998 Volkswagen Jetta GL?

How can i tell if i have a Volkswagen Jetta GL or GLS?

  • I needed to get plugs and wires for my Jetta. The guy asked if i had the Jetta GL or the GLS. I looked in the manual, under the hood, and on the drivers side door where they usually have some info. and still couldnt find weather it was a GL or a GLS

    Call the VW dealer with the VIN, the service department will look it up for you. I'm not sure it matters since the engine is the same. If you have a 2.0 it's the same engine regardless if it's a GL or GLS.

i dont think there is a jetta gls, its either a GLX or GL
