Will 2009 VW Rabbit 2dr cost more in insurance than Rabbit 4dr?

How much should it cost to change the diesel engine in a vw rabbit for a newer or rebuilt one?

    If you can't do the work yourself, you're talking a couple grand easy just to replace it with what was in the car originally, to update the engine, probably 5-6 thousand.

I would just look on ebay, maybe do a search for "turbo diesel or TDI. It would basically bolt in, but I just don't know about if you need a computer to run the turbo or not. I have two smoker VW pickups I love, but they do lack serious power, but a BIG exhaust helps out a lot!
