I own a VW Jetta and the alarm beep stopped working when I use the remote key. Any tips on how to put it back?

It was fine before. The car locks but I just don't hear the alarm sound anymore.
Answer:

I repair VW all day and i have seen this problem you may have an open circuit on one of your lock modules... You need a VW Scanner to check which one is open and that needs to get replaced

Okay I had this problem, I was at the dealer one afternoon actually and I noticed another Jetta just like mine next to me. I heard it beep and wondered why mine hasnt ever done the beep, so they looked into it and the hood latch sensor was in reverse or some one had made it that way because i bought the car used from a dealer it was a program car. Take it to your nearest dealer and see if they can run a diagnostic check. Hope this helps. Good Luck!!!
