-
When i drive the seat belt light flashes on and off but i do have my seat belt on. Does anyone know why this is happening? The car has 115,000 miles if that is of any help..

Answer:
Could be the sensor that detects if the belt is fastened or not is going. Or maybe a loose wire.

I have a Ford Tempo, on that car there are two levers next to the parking brake. If either of these is pulled up the light flashes. Those levers unlock the shoulder belts if they lock in a crash or sudden stop. If your car has automatic shoulder belts and they aren't working properly, that will also cause the light to flash.
