• i want my corolla too look and sound stock yet perform well right now im gonna remove the spare tire and tool from the trunt as weight reduction, then ill replace the air filter with a k&n racing cone air filter, and im gonna remove the rear head rests coz there useless no1 sits back there, wat else will give performance and not make no diffrence on the exterior and what else can i remove for weight reduction? will a racing exuast system make alot of sounds, like the orginal racing good quality ones? and does anyone know the weight of a 2007 corolla 1.8ltr in kg's pleez TIA!

  Well a filter will help you get better MPG and a bit more hp. But not much. Without changing the exhaust you will not realize more hp with the intake modifications. Making power is all about drawing in more air at any given time and expelling it efficiently. That usually equals more noise. I don't think the few pounds from the head rests will give you much acceleration. If you remove the spare then you better have run flat tires or a instant flat tire inflator can ready. The only other way to make your car lighter is to physically strip the sound insulation from the car. Very very very labor intensive and you will hear all the noise in the world after doing this. Also it wont save you as much weight as you may think... If you have the money you can try to find a carbon fiber hood or fiber glass hood. but That is very expensive. I would recommend you just tune up the car. Always run synthetic oil, and fluids, and set the timming to burn premium. Or get a reflashed CPU for the car. Your other option would be forced induction. A supercharger or turbo.
