• A typical day involves a few short trips around town and sometimes, not all the time, I turn the key and it TURNS OVER, but won't start. Kind of like being out of gas. I wait a moment and repeat. After several tries, it eventually starts. I've noticed that it happens when I'm parked on an incline, but I've only been paying attention to where it's parked when the problem occurs for a couple of weeks. It's been happening for the last 4 or 5 years, but I've lived with it because it eventually starts. However, I do not want to be in some desert when it decides that it's not going to start ever again. Recently, I've changed the spark plugs, wires, cap n rotor, air filter (2011), catalytic converter (2010), starter and coil (2009), I'd like to fix the bad sensor, or whatever it is, but I don't know what the problem is. Any ideas?

  I think the problem is the fuel pump. It cannot carry fuel to the engine when your fuel tank is in the wrong agle I guess (that would be a design fault), or the fuel pump might be damaged. You should check whether or not the fuel pump is faulty or it might just be a design issue. It starts eventually because the pump starts running when key is in ignition, after which the engine will have fuel. I'm not sure if you have an in-line fuel pump (located between tank and fuel lines) or you might have one located in the fuel tank. It might be hard to get access to. Just ask a mechanic for help on that, I doubt you can fix it yourself.
