Is a 2001 celica rear or front wheel drive?

I need to know everything about a Toyota Celica 2001?

  • I'm looking for a car and found a Toyota Celica 2001 for $7,995.00 with 97764 miles, 4 cylinder engine, automatic transmission, front wheel drive, tinted windows alloy wheels, spoiler, upgraded am/fm compact disc player, rear window defroster, hood scoop, air conditioning, power mirrors, and power steering. Is that a good deal? and how reliable are toyota cars? And i'm not sure but is it a sports car?

  • Answer:

toyotas are really reliable cars and have good gas mileage. my uncle still has his 1991 celica. if this is your first car, i would say go for it. your first car is basically your "practice" car so its expected for it to get dents and dings (you wouldnt want to get an expensice car for your first!) the car is not high mileage, its typical for the age of the car.i looked up the kelley blue book value for the car and its $9,750. however, the bad thing about the car is that its considered a sports car. its going to make your insurance EXPENSIVE! if you want to find other cars that have around the same mpg, features and price i would suggest looking up other cars such as the camry, carolla, civic or accord. best of luck with everything! =)

Its a sports car yes, its not fast though so insurance wont kill. Toyotas are very reliable and cheap cars to fix. For 8 grand thats a pretty good deal. 97 thousand miles is NOT a lot for a Toyota. Ask them why they are selling it though (if its a private seller) and have your own mechanic check it out.

The Toyota Celica returns unchanged for the 2001 model year. Available in two models, GT and GT-S, the Celica features a 1.8L four-cylinder engine, which generates 180 horsepower in the sportier GT-S trim. A five-speed manual transmission is standard on the GT, while a six-speed manual transmission is standard on the GT-S. Both models offer an optional four-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission. GT-S models equipped with the automatic transmission feature Sport shift, which allows the driver to select gears with either the index finger or thumb. Optional features for the GT-S include leather interior and a unique rear spoiler. Anti-lock brakes, side impact airbags, alloy wheels, and a sunroof are available for both models.

the celica you are talking about is the gt model .. the celica is a good reliable car it wil llast you a a while if you take care of it. toyota makes some of the most reliable cars in the world and yes this car is considered a sports car since its a small coupe so your insurance rates might be a little higher.. the price sounds about right according to kelly blue book a celica gt in excellent condition meaning no engine problems, no dents or dings on the outside or no rips on the interior goes for around 8300 and in good condition goes for 7600... just make sure it isnt a salvage title car run a car fax report on it and have a mechanic check it before you buy it
