I would not classified as a women car , but as a compact entry level car for teenagers, young adults, or single adults. They are very reliable, and easy to customize, great on gas. My wife had one and we upgraded when baby number 1 came.

This is a typical sterotype which may be true, if you actually did the demographics on what percentage of men to women own this car. Personally, I think that it is a fine car for men and women both.

If you have a family then yeah! perfect! But if you are single you would be very interested in a HONDA CIVIC COUPE....VERY SPORTY

The Toyota Corolla has been around for more than 30 years!!! I don't think it would have sold millions of cars worldwide if it were only a "chic car". The Toyota Corolla has been marketed---and still is, thanks to Toyota realizing not to mess with this gold mine--as a good safe reliable car. Nothing fancy about it, except that its engine last like forever, and the car is very safe. True about what some have already said that it's a family car. This is the kind of car that common people get, because it is safe and reliable. There's no gimmicks, no flashy equipment, just a good safe care that won't give them any problems for nearly decades. So young adults or young families starting out in life, older people who need an extra car, these are the type of people who drive Corollas. They won't be racing Mustangs at lights, they won't be playing "Fast and Furious" on the freeway, zooming in and out of traffic, they won't be adding hemi engines and racing slicks to it. They enjoy just driving carefully and cautiously in their safe reliable Corolla, because that's the type of people they are. They get their excitement either in other cars or rods, or not in a car at all. Altho' Toyota has remedied that problem with their own racey version of Corolla. But yes, many women will buy Corollas because they are safe and reliable, just like many men, not because they're cute and have a built-in flower vase on the dash. There's probably no other long-lasting car that says "family" (other than minvans) than the Toyota Corolla. That's why it'll last till 50 years duration, unless Toyota gets STUPID and messes with this near perfect design. Heck, there'll probably be a Toyota 'air car' when we get the anti-gravity problem worked out.
