Why doesn't a Nissan truck run smooth in overdrive?

Will a late 80's early 90's Nissan twin turbo fit in my 90 Nissan 4x4 truck ?

  • I want to take a Nissan pathfinder and build a 4 door Nissan truck and since in going to all the trouble to build a 4 door truck why not go the extra mile and make it run good to. I have searched all over the internet and found that some people have put the straight 6 out of a Nissan Silvia or 240 sx ??? the body work I'm not to worried about but the mechanical the wiring the ecu, could someone help me out ???

  • Answer:

the engine bay should be big enough to support a VG30DETT (which is in a 300zx 90-96 model) but i have never heard of it being done the engine can rune you 1,300 all the way to 5,000 depending on the mods already done to it. the lower end stock ones will give you close to 300HP Good luck!

Slow down dude. Doesn't Nissan already make a 4 door 4x4 truck Called a 2005 to 2011 Frontier crew cab truck? 265 hp V-6 engine 6 speed manual trans? or 5 Speed Automatic? VDC hill desent control ABS braking locking rear differential I am sure if you sell the old pathfinder before you take the cutting torch to it and go out on a limb finance a newer truck you will be miles ahead and have a reliable truck. Dump the junk get a truck. Older pathfinder chassis/frame might not be long enough to make the bed work then there is that sealing off the back with the rear cab off a truck.
